Gibson / ES-175 / 1960 / Blonde/Natural / Guitar
This is an early 60 ES-175 TDN that's pretty close to mint. The condition is stunning-one small ding on the side under the guard bracket and that's it. There is some very light wear on the back of the neck at the cowboy chord positions. I don't get a lot of these but when a blonde one comes up that hasn't been scavenged for all the good parts, I can't pass it up. These are a favorite among parts dealers because if you add up the value of the parts, they are close to the value of the guitar. This one is all there and has all the 59 features: Big neck, "burst" knobs, single ring Klusons and a 59 factory order number. That means the guitar was constructed in 59 and assembled and shipped in 60. Serial is fairly early in 1960. The tuner tips have been replaced which is pretty normal for the era. Frets are original and the first four or five are about ready for some TLC or replacement. You might get another dressing out of them. Sealed PAF's and no funny business anywhere with the electronics. Nice brown Lifton case, probably original.
