Gibson / ES 225 / 1959 / Sunburst / Guitar
This is a LOVELY condition, original 1959 Gibson ES-225 T + original soft brown gator case that was made in 1959 with a clear ’S’ FON number and has the oh so desirable, classic 1959 medium chunky neck profile.
Please have a good look at the photos you will see for yourself the excellent condition this guitar is in. There ae a few dings here and there including some on the back but overall it is in very nice shape.
The only thing not original is the tailpiece that has been changed to a chrome plated one. This is also one of the later, more desiable 1959 ES-225’s with the trapeze tailpiece and the wooden bridge as opposed to the more usual combination trapeze/bridge and must have been one of the last ES-225’s made before they were replaced by the ES-330’s in 1959.
Included is the original soft case that is OK, a bit delapitaed, but still just about works alright!
Quite a rare model too as most of these had the earlier tailpiece fitted.
If you do want to play it I can assure you it will not disappoint. It has a nice low action and original P-90 is very stong and has some great bite. All electrics are original and the neck is the typical ’59 style. Frets are all original and they have hardly any wear at all, no fingerboard rutting either.
