Gibson / ES-330 TD / 1964 / Sunburst / Guitar

This is probably the cleanest all original, Gibson ES-330 TD we have ever seen from any age. The icing on the cake is this one hails from 1964 with the classic and desirable neck profile and it has a load of original case candy with it too...

To say it is near MINT would be an injustice but I cannot say it is MINT as that in my book, would infer it is like new, so if a category ever existed somewhere between near mint and mint then this would slot in there perfectly.

It is totally STUNNING. The moment you open the case you think you cannot possibly be looking at a 53 year old guitar. The finish gleams like a guitar that only left the factory a few weeks ago and if it were not for a small clear coat mark on the back of the neck (probably where it was resting on an amp - do NOT do this folks) and a small amount of tarnishing on the nickel hardware it would be totally mint.

Needless to say, it is 100% original, not a thing changed, with pretty much zero fret wear on the original frets. The headstock looks almost like new and I have never seen such a bright, unfaded and beautiful finish on a 1964 guitar.

Included is the original tag, setup guide for the tunomatic, case key, envelope, plus an ACE strap and a 1964 sales receipt for a strap, dated 1964 from a shop in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Afraid I do not have the receipt for the guitar!

It includes the original hard case with a beautiful lining that I have never seen before. The person I bought it from swore it was original but if it is not then someone has gone to great effort to add this and did a very professional job too.

Plays perfectly, in fact like a new guitar which in effect it pretty much is. Both pickups work great and neck profile is that classic, medium chunky Clapton type, 1964 profile that a lot of people love.

I think it will be a long time before one cleaner than this pops along....
