Gibson / ES-330 TD / 1967 / Factory Black / Guitar
I have no idea how many factory black ES-330 ’s came out of Gibson EVER, but probably not more than a handful, IF there were ever that many. Here is one of them, a 1967 Gibson ES-330 TD in factory black finish. And I don't think we'll see another one.
I also have no clue where this guitar came from exactly, but apparently the first owner had it up on consignment at a local thrift store of a friend of his, and was bought by someone who likely doubled, tripled or quadrupled up his investment after he sold it to us. But c’mon, a factory black 330? How could we let that one slip away?!!
So here it is, folks. The finish looks spectacular, with very intense weather checking all over the body. It just oozes mojo and character all over, it’s a treat to look, hold and play. Not that it has been played much, since the frets are undoubtedly original and with plenty of life left.
It probably started off as a factory Bigsby or had one at some point (hard to tell now thanks to the trapeze hiding it, and the black finish). If it was factory trapeze, it’s back to stock now.
It had Schallers at some point, but the small type, so no new holes were ever drilled. It has the stock double line Klusons back on again. I do believe the tuner bushings were replaced for larger ones.
Pickups appear to be original, with one black bobbin and a clear bobbin (typical of late 67/early 68), but the bridge pickup was rewound long time ago, and maybe -though could’ve just been serviced to avoid rattles or microphonics- the neck one as well.
All pots and harness are original except for neck volume pot.
There are no repairs on this guitar, breaks, oversprays, refinishes, or any of that funky stuff. Orange label looks good (most 67’s had orange label, 330’s with the orange label were very rare). The serial has faded considerably but can still be read.
It plays beautifully, setups nicely, and sounds great.
Includes OSHC with yellow interior.
Folks, this guitar is very rare. Just how many times have you ever seen a black 330? You know how they say it: find another! :)

Guitar Giraffe, Spain
In the last few years, online sale for musical instruments has experienced an amazing growth, but has passed right through the pre-owned market (that is, in Spain), limiting it to specialised forums and private owners. This is why Guitar Giraffe was born, the first physical and online second hand guitar and amp store (we like to call it "pre-owned", since we see a big difference between both terms), with a clear commitment of giving new options to guitarists locally and worldwide. Pre-owned guitar stores, so common in UK and USA, were practically nonexistent in Spain. We’ve wanted to fill that empty space by becoming the first physical and online store in our country focused on pre-owned guitars and amps.
