We recently sold a '59 ES-330 so quickly, I didn't even have time to play it. It had all of the "classic" features and man, was the buyer happy when he received it. It was a perfectly executed and well put-together transaction, so when Lee rolled into the 'Elkcave with this guitar and told me to "shoot her up," I had the time to really take a look at it. In my humble and not very important opinion, this guitar also has several features that could be considered as classic. It occurred to me that a guitarist could like a vintage ES-330 with attractive block inlays. Maybe they like their ears a little sharper (shameless Spock reference). Got smaller hands? No problem- this beauty has a sleek, slim neck profile with a 1 5/8" nut width and the nickel hardware is shiny and crisp. You'll also notice that the case is the upgraded, yellow- lined hardshell version that we usually see housing the more expensive ES-335, ES-345, etc. That's a plus, because we always keep the guitar and it's original case together. No case- swapping here, so once again folks, when we show up to a rodeo, we don't bring plow mules. We pull up with a trailer full of thoroughbreds and this particular piece can be considered as exactly that: a blue blooded purebred.
