Gibson / ES-335 / 1960 / Sunburst / Guitar

Everybody wants a 59 and we all know why. It's that big ol' neck. Well, this is a 60 and I'm guessing the neck on this one is bigger than the neck on your 59 and it's going to cost you half as much. When I got this guitar, it had all of its original parts except that the neck had been broken and it was re-necked in 1965, almost certainly by Gibson. The guitar sounded just great but the neck was narrow with block markers and I though this guitar deserved better. I had it re-necked to 58-59 spec using a piece of old growth mahogany and a slice of Brazilian rosewood I have been holding onto since 1991. The headstock overlay is from the original Gibson neck. All the parts are from the original 1960 build except for the harness which is from 1965. PAFs, original stop tail, no wire ABR-1, single line double ring tuners (replacement tips), original long guard, switch tip, knobs and truss rod cover. Get a guitar that will blow away your friend's 59 for half the price. Finally a dot neck you can afford that has the big neck you can't afford. The finish is original (except for the new neck). Last photo is the "before" shot. Beat up but functional original brown case - See more at: https://www.gbase.com/gear/gibson-es-335-1960-sunburst-7#sthash.gF2z4SiM.dpuf

I sometimes have later ones that I've taken in trade. I buy and sell more early ES 335s, 345s and 355s than anyone. I also deal in other vintage guitars and amps from the 50's and 60's.

All buyers are given a 48 hour period to try the guitar, inspect the guitar and decide whether to keep the guitar. Buyer will be responsible for the shipping in both directions should you decide to return it. You may return a guitar for any reason at all but only for the first 48 hours. No returns after the approval period has expired. Payment in full is required at time of purchase and guitars will not be shipped until funds have cleared.
