Gibson / ES-335 / 1976 / Cherry Red / Guitar
Near MINT and gleaming, all original 1976 Gibson ES-335 in beautiful, vibrant dark cherry red that looks like it only stepped out of the box 2/3 years ago as opposed to 41 years ago!
This is without a doubt the finest example, mid-70's ES-335 TDC we have come across. Even the binding has hardly faded and is still almost bright white. The deep, dark cherry is totally unfaded and is a thing of beauty.
Nothing has ever been changed on this beauty and all is 100% original, even down to the frets which hardly show any play wear at all.
There are a few, small marks here and there which do not allow me to call it mint but it is very close. No breaks or repairs of course and even though this is a Norlin era instrument, it is without a doubt one of the good ones and plays, sounds and feels as good as any mid-late 60's ES-335 we have had. And we have had quite a fair few..!
I was told this was the original case by the person I bought it from. I am not so sure but you can get different cases in some International markets so it may be but whatever, it is perfectly designed for an ES-335 and is definitely of Gibson quality with the same period correct latches you would expect to see. One edge of the handle has had an expert repair.
I really think you will struggle to find a cleaner example and if you are considering a beat up late 60's 335 then take a look at this as it will surely not disappoint...
