Beautiful, all original 1964 Gibson ES-335 in classic Gibson tobacco sunburst. What a delicious combination, together with it's original hard shell case, it is something that should be at the top of many a collector and players short list.
Stop tail 1964 ES-335's are pretty amazing guitars and this one is no exception. They are desirable for a very good reason - you get a superb neck profile which is medium chunky, a 43mm wide nut width and 2 x stunning Pat Number sticker humbuckers. It was just a few moths later the ES-335's would change... and in most peoples view, not for the better.
Not a thing has been replaced on this, including the frets which have sill got decent meat on them. All hardware is original as is all electrics and solder. There are a few dings here and there but nothing too serious at all, plus some wear on the back of the neck, just have a look at the many photos and see for yourself.
Action is very nice and low on the original ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles and you will not be disappointed if you wish to play it. Both humbuckers are strong and very well balanced.
There has never been any other tailpiece on it and was always a stop tail from the factory. Just as we like them.
Last '64 stop did not hang around for very long so if you are interested get in touch and come down and play it. You won't regret it...
