Gibson / ES-335 TD / 1966 / Cherry / Guitar
This is a VERY NICE vintage original 1966 Gibson ES-335, with Bigsby, finished in desirable cherry red and with original hard case that is almost all there apart from the tuners that have been changed to some later Kluson tuners, this has not left any extra holes on the back of the headstock though. I am not 100% certain if the Bigsby was factory fitted but it is definitely period correct and has been on this guitar for some time.
Everything else is all original including the wonderful pickups and all electrics. It plays beautifully, sounds like cream and has a very nice, playable, fast action.
There are no breaks or repairs anywhere and all finish is original too. This was originally a factory 2nd which meant it has some kind of finish blemish somewhere that would have probably been very difficult to see in 1966 and now, 49 years later, it is impossible to find.
It has been played but not too heavily, there are a few dings here and there but nothing serious. There is also a bit of buckle rash on the back, please see photos for full details.
Original black case with the yellow lining is also in good condition and is fully functioning. A very nice guitar at a very reasonable price for a classic year 1966.
