Gibson / ES-335 TDC PAF's / 1962 / Cherry Red / Guitar
This is a LOVELY 100% original stop tail vintage 1962 Gibson ES-335 with 2x smoking hot original PAF's finished in nice deep cherry with Gibson had case with zero issues, just some honest play wear.
Serial number is 56362 which dates to 1962 and I would say it is an early 62, probaby one of the first block markers made. It still has the original Patent Applied For pickups that have been unmolested and the bridge is the earlier ABR-1 with no retaining wire.
It is all original including the frets which do have some wear but are still playable. There are NO breaks or repairs anywhere on the guitar, it has never had a Bigsby or any other tailpiece other than the factory original stop tail and it has never had any neck or finish issues. All hardware is original and it is just a straight, honest guitar that has been played and loved by it’s players.
It is set up well with a nice low action, it almost plays itself and both original PAF’s produce the classic tones you would expect from such a premium pickup and guitar. Beyond reproach really - it just does not get any better.
It does have a few dings here and there plus a bit of buckle rash as you can see on the photos. Included is a later Gibson ES-335 hardshell case in brown with a pink lining, not original but still very nice, I am sure the new owner will not be disappointed.
Nut width is the classic 43mm and neck profile is quite flat but not too much.
A real nice, genuine vintage ES-335 with classic PAF's.
