We specialize in buying and selling Custom Shop and Limited Edition guitars. Heck, you could easily say they are our "bread and butter", but on the rare occasion we get a custom built piece, then you could say that our day has been made. This ES-335 was ordered by it's original owner on May 19, 1981 from Pick and Grin Music in Asheville, NC. It's obviously a beautifully constructed nod to the great Chet Atkins and every custom detail of the instrument adds to what is truly a one-of-a-kind look and feel.    This 335 is a very late Kalamazoo- built instrument. You'll also notice the large Custom Shop decal on the rear of the headstock and that what is referred to as "PAF pickups" are actually a smoking set of virgin Tim Shaws. Although some ES-335s are used in a Rock setting, this guitar completely lends itself to the desires of the Jazz guitarist and plays and sounds like something out of a smoky 40's Jazz club in New York city. The original case is also in exceptional condition and we think that a guitar of this caliber and uniqueness deserves some extra consideration.
