Gibson / ES-335TDN / 1958 / Blonde/Natural / Guitar
There's a new beauty queen on the block. Prettiest guitar I ever saw-even prettier than that blonde 59 Sheraton I had a while back. This birdseye and blister late (December) 58 monster looks like a million bucks. You don't see this kind of figure on blonde 335's that often and when you do, sometimes it looks a bit slutty but this one is a class act. All original and near mint-just a little dime sized spot of rash on the back. Not much worming around that mark either-it must have been a very small buckle. The back of the neck is flawless-not even a capo mark. It is perfect. The front is near perfect too/ Frets are the original small frets and they are OK but show some wear. Big fat 58 sized neck-big and round at the first (.91") and stays big and round all the way up (.99" at the 12th). Original Klusons-never had other tuners with original tips. It has a shallow neck angle but no so shallow that it needs a shaved bridge. the action is fine but the bridge sits right on the top. This is pretty typical. If you wanted super low action, you would probably have to shave a little off (do that on a repro bridge, please). The only issue with this guitar is that the pickup covers have been off and were re-soldered but they don't appear to have been out of-the guitar the solder on the pots looks original and untouched. Case candy galore-original warranty card with matching serial, all hangtags, case key, pick case, bridge and pickup instructions still in their little yellow envelopes. Case is an excellent Stone. Only the leather is worn off the handle. Take out a second mortgage-this is a once in a lifetime guitar.
