Gibson / ES-345 / 1959 / Sunburst / Guitar
**HOLD**This is a very early "first rack" 59 Gibson ES-345 - A29xxx serial. It is a very unusual and amazing instrument. It has the very rare factory wax potted Varitone choke-only the second I've ever seen and a "short leg" factory sealed double white PAF in the bridge position. It reads an unbelievable 9.72K. The neck pickup is a sealed REVERSE zebra which reads 8.18K. I was the first to ever turn a screw on this guitar. The neck is the largest I've ever found on any ES-larger than my 58. It measures almost .91" at the first fret. Guitar is in excellent condition but some fade and a few scratches keep it from near mint status. Call it a 9+. Original frets, original everything. I could search for a couple of years and not find another like this one. Tuner tips have crumbled as is usual for a 59 and have been replaced. The original tuners are on the guitar. It is simply the most outstanding example of an early 345 I have ever seen. Case is super clean as well and includes the case key, original strap and PAF and ABR-1 instructions in their original manila envelope.
