Gibson / ES-345 TD Memphis / 2012 / Sunburst / Guitar
This near MINT 2012 Gibson Custom Shop Memphis ES-345 TD is a masterfully crafted reissue of one of Gibson’s most iconic semi-hollowbody guitars, originally introduced in 1959. Built at the Gibson Memphis facility, this instrument captures the elegance and versatility of the original ES-345, offering vintage tone with modern refinements.
The ES-345 TD (Thin Double-cutaway) features a beautifully figured laminated maple body with a double-bound top and back, finished in a rich, gloss vintage sunburst. The semi-hollow construction with a solid maple center block provides an excellent balance between warm, resonant tones and feedback control, perfect for a variety of genres from jazz and blues to rock.
The neck is made of solid mahogany with a comfortable '60s slim taper profile and topped with a rosewood fingerboard adorned with mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. The 24.75" scale length and 12" radius offer smooth playability and easy bends.
Equipped with Gibson’s MHS (Memphis Historic Spec) humbucking pickups, this ES-345 delivers a vintage-accurate tone, from warm, mellow lows to bright, singing highs. The guitar also features the original stereo Varitone switch, which allows for a wide range of tonal variations, making it incredibly versatile for both live performances and studio recording.
Other vintage-correct features include gold hardware(also in near MINT condition), a stopbar tailpiece, ABR-1 type bridge, and Gibson Deluxe, Kluson style tuners. The guitar also has two output jacks, offering both mono and stereo signal paths.
This guitar comes with its original hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity (COA), and all original documentation. A prime example of the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Gibson Custom Shop guitars are renowned for.
If you are looking for one of these it is unlikely you will find a better example...
