Gibson / ES-345 TDV / 1963 / Sunburst / Guitar
This is a VERY NICE vintage original 1963 Gibson ES-345, original stop tail, finished in desirable tobacco sunburst with non original hard case that is a total bargain because it has had an overspray in black on the back of the neck. Body is totally original finish.
It plays beautifully, sounds like cream with it’s PAT number pickups (with stickers intact). Pots etc are original, as is pretty much all the hardware apart from the tuners with are gold Kluson aged repros. It originally had other tuners on it at some stage and you can see some filled holes from these on the back of the headstock.
Factory otiginal stop tail with no evidence of any other tailpiece ever being fitted to it. Tailpiece is original and bridge is the original gold ABR-1 with nylon saddles.
It has the classic 1963 neck profile that the re-issues try to emulate and just plays beautifully - I find it difficult to put down. I am sure the new owner will not be disappointed especially at this rather cool price.
Case looks as if it could be a Gabson ES series case from the later 70’s or early 80’s.
Nice Xmas pressie for yourself maybe...
