Here we have a lovely, lush cherry red Gibson ES-355 TDC in the rare and desirable, mono, no Varitone variant with original black/yellow case and hang tag, in superb condition.
Plays wonderfully with a low, fast action on a slick ebony fingerboard with a slim taper neck and 41mm nut width.
All original but there is evidence another pickguard has been on there at some stage however the one on there at the moment looks right, albeit in surprisingly good condition. If it is a repro I'd love to know who made it as it is a perfect job.
All original electrics, pickups, pots caps etc and this is probably a mid '66 just when they changed to waffle back tuners but still had the reflector knobs.
Just a few small dings here and there, nothing serious at all and some of the inevitable wear on the gold plating, otherwise it is in most excellent condition. Original frets are in great shape and guitar plays real well.
These are one of my personal favourite guitars and the cherry works really well with the gold and ebony fretboard in my opinion. It's like a ES-335 but with class, style and sophistication.
