Here is something you do not see every day. This is a 100% original, cherry red Gibson ES-355 TDSV made in 1961 with PAF’s and remarkably the bridge one is a Zebra! plus Lifton OHSC and not quite the usual slimmer neck profile you get on most 1961 ES’s. It is not like the chunky 59 but not like the super slim 61 - somewhere in between the two.

Please have a good look at the photos you will see for yourself the excellent condition this guitar is in. This was traded in recently from someone in Ireland who claimed to be the second owner and it is a very fine example. There are a few minor dings and dongs here and there, a small areo on the back where someting in contact (probably while it was in the case) reacted with the clearcoat and a small amount of buckle rash and the usual bit of wear on the gold but this is minor. Overall it is excellent condition and importantly, the cherry is still a deep red and mostly un faded… even the binding is still quite white and not faded much. 

It really is a stunning and beautiful instrument to behold...

Included is a Lifton brown/pink hardshell case that is in excellent condition too. Maestro sideways trem worksgreat and is in perfect working condition and pretty well intact on the gold plating too. Please see photos.

100% original in every way including the wide 1961 frets with not a great deal of wear, beautiful ebony fingerboard has hardly any wear too. Rarely seen tortoiseshell guard that has not completely disintegrated. Serial number is 11564 all wiring intact with undisturbed solder joints everywhere. Un-molested PAF pickups with both stickers largely intact.

Super fast action, it is one of those vintage ES series guitars that really do play themselves, if you have ever experienced this you will know what a joy it is..! If you were looking for one of these, it is your lucky day as you will probably not find a nicer one… both original PAF’s are evenly balanced with exceptional clarity and bite.
