Gibson / ES335 12 String Honey Burst / 1967 / Guitar

This Gibson ES335 brings us back to an era where 6 strings just weren't enough. The Beatles, Byrds and the Mama's and the Papa's all used 12 string electrics to create the shimmery, dreamy sound that shaped the musical landscape in the mid sixties.  The ES-335-12 might be an instrument that you don't directly relate with those artist, (although John Philips used one) and has its own unique approach to the 12-string electric. The Pat. number pickups give it warm and jazzy tone on the neck position and the bridge gives it more power and clarity that makes the octave strings come out more. This ES335 is completely original (except for newer frets) and features a rare Honey Burst that looks astounding. The top features typical '67 features like the trapeze tailpiece, tune-o-matic with double notched nylon saddles, 'top hat' knobs and pickguard with a sharper bevel. The mahogany neck features a rosewood board with newer frets, mother-of-pearl small block inlay and the smaller nutwidth of 1 9/16". The bigger Gibson headstock still looks classy and the double triangle inlay fits the picture. Aside from being almost fully original, she is incredibly clean with just a few light and small dings, and light traces of use on the body. The weatherchecking pattern is wonderful, especially combined with this beautiful burst. Although this is the first ES-335-12 that we've acquired, I don't think we will get to see a more beautiful or cleaner piece than this one. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
