'69 ES 340TD Walnut, 2 Pickups Patent Number Black Steakers, no volute and no made in USA stamp, Orange Label, all original EX+ code GI456
The ES-340 was an upgraded version of the ES-335 that was offered by Gibson from 1969-1973. Basically, it was a 335, but featured a laminated maple (not mahogany) walnutstripes neck (like Gibsons expensive Jazz guitars L5 etc.), bound rosewood fretboard with blockmarker inlays. Semihollow maplebody w/sutain block,and some funky electronics that involved a master volume and “master mixer control.” This particular guitar has had it’s wiring changed back to the normal original 335 specs: 2 volume, 2 tone set up (...which is reversible!), 2/line Gibson Kluson tuners with no extra holes.
