Gibson / ES350 Spruce Top Sunburst / 1956 / Guitar

Gibson ES350 from 1956 in very nice clean crack free condition. The ES350 with cutaway was introduced in 1947, with a single p90 at the time, it was the successor to the ES300. From 1948 a 2nd P90 was added and from 1956 the tune-o-matic bridge was introduced. The pickguard has been modified, or- perhaps an old (vintage) replacement. Otherwise, the guitar is original, in very good condition and quite rare. The tailpiece is original, the Tune-o-matic bridge is original for the guitar but from later, the wooden base is original, as are the tuners. The tuners may have been gold plated again since they are still in great condition. The neck is three-piece maple, bound rosewood fingerboard with double parallelogram inlays, bound headstock with Crown and Gibson logo. The sunburst finish aged beautifully. Now what makes this 17 inch Archtop special, that is the spruce top matched to the maple back/sides that makes it very much like a L5, but a bit less stiff, more vibrant, love it! Another advantage is the switching section with two tone, two volume knobs,  where the maple version only has two knobs. The ES-350 comes with a Gibson case that looks like it dates from the early 1970s. Well-known players include Barney Kessel and Tal Farlow. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
