Beautiful Dark Sunburst finish, gold hardware, tight grain carved spruce top, beautiful figured maple back, sides & neck, starting in late 1970, the F-12 became sort of an an F-5 clone having an abolone inlaid extended ebony fingerboard, totally cool bound scroll headstock w/an abolone script "The Gibson" logo & Fleur de lis inlays set into a Brazilian Rosewood lamination, 2 orange labels stating it was made by a Master Maker on 9-8-71, this is one of the 1st of its kind ever & all original custom ordered in 1971 by it's original owner, excellent overall w/no mods or repairs, killer bass & mids chop to it !!, original black hard shell case is included. |
