Gibson / Firebird V Celebrity Edition / 1991 / Original Black / Guitar For Sale
Could this be the best looking Firebird V made...?
This 1991 Gibson Firebird V Celebrity Edition is a rare and interesting piece, featuring the iconic reverse-body design that has made the Firebird a favourite among rock guitarists since its introduction in the 1960s. This special edition was produced in limited quantities, adding to its exclusivity and desirability.
Equipped with a pair of powerful mini-humbucker pickups, and a beautiful ebony finish, this Firebird delivers a sharp, biting but full tone with plenty of clarity and sustain—perfect for cutting through a mix with vintage warmth and modern punch. The guitar's mahogany body and neck-through construction contribute to its excellent resonance and sustain, while the iconic Firebird-style headstock and banjo-style tuners complete its distinctive look.
This model features ebony finish, ebony fingerboard, gold plated parts, unique knobs and a limited edition badge on the back of the headstock, making it stand out among standard models. The original knobs have mostly deteriorated so good repros are currently fitted and what is left of the originals are in the original 90's case.
Frets are in superb shape and it plays like a demon, with tow superb sounding humbuckers
We cannot remember when we last saw one of these so if your idea of the ultimate Firebird is a black FB V with a FB VII fingerboard and a factory stop tail then look no further...
