This is a highly unusual 1 of a kind Futura Historic ’57 Reissue completed by the Gibson Custom Shop in 1999, its a bit different & far rarer than the average Korina wood made Reissues, its got a gorgeous Natural Mahogany body & neck finish that looks stunning w/its factory Black pickgard & its famous exotic shape, its got 2 great sounding PAF Humbucking pickups w/tons of tone, its Unbound Dot inlaid ebony fingerboard is on a fairly fat 1 piece neck, it has an inked on 1957 serial # on the back of its “V” shaped headstock along w/a small chip missing finish on the top left pointy back edge, according to its paperwork, she was completed on September 29, 1999, its got all gold hardware including a set of 3 on a side Deluxe Kluson tuners, its got a factory stop tailpiece & tun-a-matic bridge, it was made for Gibson’s Japanese distributor w/its original Japanese Hang Tags included from new, it also comes w/a hand signed Certificate of Authenticity personally autographed by Rick Gember to its 1st owner & perhaps the only one made to replicate the original 50’s iconic experimental guitar before the Explorer was produced, super lightweight, she’s truly near mint, has a stash of case candy, its COA & comes in its original Brown hard case.
