Superb Explorer bass from the Gibson Custom Shop produced especially for Dusty Hill, bassist of ZZ Top. This bass was customized by him and renamed "The Bug" because of the steel fly glued to the headstock. This is the "CS 6", i.e. probably the sixth bass produced by the Gibson Custom Shop.
This exceptional instrument was played by Dusty Hill with ZZ Top for many years on stage, as evidenced by traces of wear and several videos of the bearded bassist on stage.
This is an exceptional and historic guitar. Only one "The Bug" exists in the world, and few basses on the market have been played so much by such an influential and important bassist. Directly from the collection of the late Dusty Hill.

Through perseverance, Matthieu managed to open doors that are generally kept well shut and gained access to instruments that were not even supposed to be sold. Out of that desire to share, he finally created the Matt’s Guitar Shop showroom, a special place for selling and trading that gives Paris back its reputation for excellence in the area of beautiful guitars.
