This Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue Ultra Light Aged Ebony is a magnificent reproduction of the artist's signature model, which passed away in August 2020. His legend is perpetuated by this beautiful instrument, which is preferred by musicians as prestigious as Dave Grohl or Noel Gallagher.
It was made in the Murphy Lab department inaugurated in 2021. The instruments that come from it are incredible recreations of the iconic models of the Gibson Golden Era.

For 25 years, Tom Murphy has practiced reproducing the appearance and temperament of vintage guitars. Based on this expertise, Gibson has therefore collaborated with the master luthier to invent a new varnish formula that perfectly imitates the imperfections typical of nitrocellulose from the 1950s/60s, and to develop special manufacturing techniques. Each craftsman working at Murphy Lab has been personally trained by Tom Murphy to become an expert in the aging process.
