We have access to a few collections that are made up of only the finest and rarest collectible guitars ever produced. This Explorer came from one of said collections and at first sight, gives off an immediate Allen Collins vibe. That must be because the same artisan did the aging process for both runs. We purchased this piece under the auspice that there were only 3 Murphy- aged Korina Explorers ever made and by that, we mean ones that have Mr. Murphy's signature on the COA. Try as I might, I cannot find another example of this aged Explorer and while I did find information on a run of 25 aged Flying V's made for the Japanese market, no Explorer's were to be seen. In any event, this exquisite guitar has been with us for a good while now and as we ebb and flow into new collections and high- end vintage guitars, we move some pieces out in preparation for others coming in. A rolling stone gathers no moss, right? This Explorer is in absolutely unplayed, collector quality condition and includes the COA, Custom Shop hardshell case and case candy. It's yet another example of the highly- desired and rare instruments for which we have become known worldwide and is also backed by our iron- clad, satisfaction guaranteed approval policy.
