Like any true Les Paul aficionados, we love the limited edition versions, especially the '03 Brazils. Alas, most of the examples we acquire are virtually unplayed, so we understand if one would be a little hesitant to take it onstage and wear the frets off of it. I mean, if it's in NOS condition and an obvious investment, why would you strap it on, sling it down low and make a couple of Marshall cabinets visibly sweat? The only true way to achieve the aforementioned result is with a guitar that has the character of one that has been played and tamed for hours and hours. I can only imagine how many times this axe has sang "Sweet Emotion" or Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll". The back is virtually covered with the signs of many, many hot, smokey sets and at one time in this girl's life, the pickups were taken out for a set of (fill in the blank here) and then professionally reinstalled. Back to original, no muss, no fuss and when you strap this guitar over your left shoulder and wrap your hand around the neck for the first time, a smile comes to your face and you just know. I say that because I witnessed it for myself when Lee first tried it out. Smiles all around the room, like we were at a shoe show after hitting the lottery. Simply put, it's one of those special guitars that you will not want to put down and we have a 48- hour, satisfaction guaranteed approval period that backs that statement up.
