I would normally start off yapping about the various 'burst colors that come out of Gibson's Historic division, but concerning this guitar, that's not gonna happen. Let's forget color- you all can plainly see what going on there- the two incredible features of this guitar are it's sustain and weight. The craftsmanship is above reproach and simply put, when you lay this guitar across your lap and strum it, it rings. So, if being acoustically loud is a good thing, then being plugged into an amp should be great, right? Dang right that's right and this guitar, plugged into a small Gries 5 sounds as pure as it can get. Just an amp and a Les Paul- no frills, bells or whistles and I actually got to enjoy myself for a short while as Lee did his 80's rock gig with this R9. Smiles were abound in the 'Elkcave that afternoon. The entire package is complete and will suit either the collector or player. We make double triple sure these guitars are packed to "arrive alive", so you'll hopefully be as pleased as we were when you get your hands on it. Oh, I forgot- the weight? 8 lbs, 1 oz and that ain't no joke...
