To be in our Player's Club, an instrument has to look like Russell Crowe in "Gladiator". In other words, it has to have been in a couple of fights, if you know what I mean. We recently have been given the opportunity to acquire some instruments with actual and real playwear on them and we instantly came up with the term "Honestly Aged". Player's Club rules state that a guitar must have some dings and scratches. A small amount of fretwear is welcome and if you have a couple of hangar marks on the side of the headstock, you get to sit at the head of the class. Pick marks on the pickguard? You're in like Flynn and if we see belt worming on the back, you get an "A" on your first test. Sweat equity is a must on all PC items and we test for soul, tone and vibe with every applicant. "Mojo" means everything in this category and a hardshell case with a few bumps and bruises is always welcome. To put it simply, we believe that there is more to the current guitar market than unplayed collectible examples and to forget the working musician would be a great disservice to our family of 'Elks.
