Gibson Historic Division / Stinger Les Paul Brazilian R0 / 2003 / Antique Firemist / Guitar

Ladies and Gentlemen, let's talk about Les Paul guitars. There are many different types, from vintage to new. Within this realm, probably the strongest of the categorys is the collectibles group, which, in the midst all of this end- of- the- world whirlwind we find ourselves in has both retained and gained in value. To narrow further, we have the Brazilian Les Pauls made for approximately 6 months in 2003. These are our favorites, because of their rarity, tone and general superior appearance and craftsmanship. Simply put, these guitars  are the kings of their particular universe and we, along with tens of thousands of other guitar aficionados recognize this. Now, among the number of "'03 Brazils", as we like to call them you will find the small Music Machine Stinger run. This sub-set of the guitars made with Brazilian fretboards was a special commission by a Seattle music store and they are easily identified by the black stinger on the rear of the headstock. Nothing new there, but after doing a little digging, we have determined that approximately 18 MM Stinger 1960 reissues were ever made. 18! That's a small number in the big picture of these guitars and certainly one of the rarest examples created. If you ask yourself how many of those 18 are in NOS condition and complete with all the case candy and accessories, we imagine that the number may be even smaller and that's where we arrive at this guitar. It's an exceptional piece in every way, from the stunning Antique Mist color to the completeness of the package. If you're familiar with the Bat Signal that Commissioner Gordon used to send our to alert Batman that something was definitely up, then this guitar is our 'Elk Signal to collectors worldwide. It's a rare opportunity to own the very best of the best and we are both fortunate and proud to present it to our 'Elks worldwide. Lee and I appreciate every look we get and every visit to our little slice 'o heaven, so you're always welcome and we thank you all for visiting!
