Gibson / Hummingbird Mahogany - Spruce, Cherry Burst / 1966 / Guitar
Keith Richard recorded many fine songs with his Hummingbird, among them 'Angie' and it's the only Acoustic Guitar that always returned on stage and in the studio with him, as the Hummingbird is known to be one of the best performing Recording guitars ever made. This is a guitar that makes you reconsider all your preferences again, because the tone grabs you by the throat the first minute you strum it and it won't let go! The matured spruce top provides a rich rounded, warm and woody tone with beautiful shimmering highs, and exceptional balance and there is a woodiness and intenseness (is that a word?) that is simply sheer magic, and yes you only find it in these many years matured guitars. This 'Bird' will most certainly inspire anyone who plays it and experience that unique and typical Hummingbird character with a sweet warmth & woody voice.
Featuring a 645mm (25.4”) scale length, 41mm ( 1 10/16") nut width. The neck is easy and fast and being a top-of-the-line Gibson it features a multiple binding, gold hardware, split parallelogram inlays, and impressive Hummingbird pickguard. Like i stated before these guitars are great guitars to play in every situation, but are true studio machines and record better than any guitar i ever heard. Including all original lacquer and tuners, There is a fair amount of typical lacquer (weather)checking on the guitar. The guitar has been professionally set-up by our shop and needs no attention. A very resonant, woody and matured instrument with excellent projection and a true vintage treasure. With original yellow lined Gibson Case: /p>

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
