Very early, historically interesting transition model still with non-tapered Jumbo/Trojan style sides, otherwise straight 1937 J-35 features including round heel, V-neck, 3 non-scalloped tonebars, square plate Kluson strip tuners. Very solid and crack free original condition except professional touch up at the heel edges due neck reset and refret, newer bridge saddle and saddle slot recut. Some capo wears at the back of the neck. Hc. On consignment.
Sehr frühes, historisch interessantes Übergangsmodel noch mit Jumbo/Trojan-artigen Zargen, sonst reguläre 1937er J-35 Features mit rundem Halsfuß, V-Hals, 3 non-scalloped Tonbalken, frühe Kluson Mechaniken. Sehr stabiler, rissfreier Originalzustand außer professionelle Lackarbeit in der Halsfußkante nach Halswinkelkorrektur und Neubundierung, ersetzte Stegeinlage sowie nachgefräßter Stegschlitz. Through building their own guitars in the style of traditional American steel string guitars and through specializing in the restoration and repair of American pre-war instruments, they realized how similar these guitars were to the traditional German guitars in construction and materials.
Their new Tuebingen workshop opened in 1996. As aficionados of old American guitars, they have been creating many replicas of these wonderful instruments, authentic not only in their looks, but also in design and construction.
In addition to that, Blazer & Henkes are also specialists for the creation of modern guitar design, delicate pearl inlays as well as for restoration and repair work of vintage guitars.
