Gibson / J-35 / 1940 / Sunburst / Guitar

This stunning, ultralight, scalloped braced, 2 tone bar 1940 Gibson J-35 is a very rare find, especially here in Europe.
We would call its overall condition very good.
There is alot of honest play ware on the top. Center seam has probably been reglued somewhere in the past, although no traces of glue are seen inside. Looks very stable both from in and outside.
On the headstock we see the silk screen script logo and the original 3 on-a-plate open Kluson tuners with white plastic buttons.
Its straight mahogany neck has a very comfortable round profile. By the looks of the back of the neck the guitar has been played alot.
Rosewood fretboard with 19 frets in good condition , they look original
Low action: 2 mm at the 12 th fret both at the bass and treble sides. Probably has had a neck reset in the past. Is not in need of one now
Beautiful original sunburst finish on the top with honest playware. All finish looks original except on the back.
Single bound top (Adirondac) and back (Mahogany)
Beautiful original firestripe pickguard , not schrunken, no pickguard crack.
Original rectangular rosewood bridge with 2 pearl dots outside of the bridge pins.
2 scalloped tonebars behind the bridge plate
Travels in its original hard shell case in excellent condition !
And yess, the guitar sounds amazing !
