Gibson / J-45 / 1947 / Sunburst / Guitar
If you're looking for the best J-45 you ever heard, this one should be your chance. It is not only a Vintage Guitar, but as tipically happens with Gibson of '40ies, each one plays diffrent from others: to me there's no competition. In my mind Gibson J-45 sounds like this. No doubts. This J-45 belonged to a Danish singer songwriter, who has to thin out his collection due to the lack of space. The Fon number is impossible to read, but the specs are unmistakeably 1947, meaning the script logo and the lack of banner, only found in 1947 (and late 1946 perhaps) It features all original sunburst finish, Honduras mahogany back/sides, red spruce (Adirondack) top, extremely light in weight, Honduras mahogany neck, Rosewood fretboard, original 3 on a plate kluson double line tuners, bound top and back, adjustable and working truss rod, moderate but still firm C shaped Honduras mahogany neck with 44.6mm (1 3/4") width at the nut, 628mm (24.3/4") scale length. Tons of tone, loud and woody. .
