This is a really nice and rare to see item in UK. This is a LOVELY 100% original 1965 Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar in nice factory cherry sunburst with original soft case plus tags it is a superb sounding guitar and what’s more, as far as I can tell, it is 100% original, in amazing condition and crack free!
A lot of these you see now have had the bridge replaced but not this one, it is all original and action is excellent with no bellying and room on the saddle for adjustment. It is TOTALLY crack free and in excellent condition - there are just a few small dings here and there including a few small round ones on the top just by the bottom strap location, some scratches on the side at the bottom plus a wear spot on the back where it looks like some plastic from a guitar stand has reacted with the nitro-cellouise (see pictures). Overall though I would say it is extremely clean and in superb condition. It is one of the nicest I have come across and not beat up like so many you see.
It really is a beautiful sounding classic Gibson J-45 tone and has the classic acoustic sound of the 60’s together with a lovely C shape neck that is so comfortable. Action is totally superb and is real easy to play at under 3mm on the bass side, less on the treble with still lots of room on the saddle to make it lower. It does NOT need a neck reset and there is no bellying. Serial number is 363877 which dates to 1965 and nut width is 41mm.
This is a rare opportunity. You just do not see many of these 60’s J-45’s in this great condition.
Included is a original red lined soft black case plus some tags as you can see pictured.
