Gibson / J-50 / 1963 / Natural Finish / Guitar

This is long-selling model of the Sunburst J-45 that was first sold w/a natural color top in 1947 . This is an exhilarating sounding issue from 1963. Its Spruce top is quite grainy & flat w/a large Tortoise’gard. Its mahogany back & sides are quite clean. Its 1 piece mahogany neck has a Jacaranda dot inlaid fingerboard w/matching bridge that sports a Ceramic adjustable saddle set up perfectly letting all of its highs & lows out. Its original Kluson Deluxe 3-on-a-side Tuners work perfectly. Other than a typical crackle on the inside edge of the pickgard from shrinkage (getting repaired up as we speak), she’s completely crack free all over. She’s got a groovy patina w/lots of checking. Her neck has a very player friendly 1 11/16″ nut size before they transitioned into a golf club w/a 1 9/16″ nut by late 1965. Having no issues nor any touchup ever, she’s a great candidate for any real player or collector wanting a great example that is truly an investment as most are nothing like this one. Grab it if you can. She’s Excellent overall & comes in a generic case.
