Gorgeous Dark Sunburst finish, wonderful blistered maple 2 piece back & sides & a very flamey 3 piece neck, its Tortoise'gard is very clean, nice Pearl Block ebony fingerboard, its binding all over is perfect, this is a very rare transitional L-5... 1 of the 1st full year of 17" production & 100% original other than the open back Grover tuners, were replaced by the Gibson factory c.1938 as per Andre Ducossior's records, with Gold Grover Imperial Tuners w/stairstep buttons being used & at that time, the small F-holes were bound, it was sold new in 1938, it is exceptionally clean w/its original Brown hard case.
