Stunning vintage Gibson LG-1 from 1957, in a vibrant sunburst finish, FON number on the neck block starts with U. The larger pointed pickguard and 20 frets are telltale marks of a post '55 model which remained unchanged until '62 when the plastic bridge was introduced.
Very good overall condition. No cracks.
The instrument is in beautiful condition with some expected signs of use (a few dings and scratches on the top)
It features mahogany back and sides, a spruce top with a nice sunburst finish, original pointed firestripe pickguard, square rosewood bridge with pearl dot inlays , comfortable mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, 20 frets, pearl dot inlays, original tuners with newer buttons and creme body bindings.
A ladder braced instrument with a unique, vintage character!
Action is low and comfortable and the frets are in good condition. Playability is excellent.
