This is one of the nicest LG-2's we've seen in a while. This is a 1947 Gibson LG-2 Acoustic in Sunburst with its original softshell case. This is a stunning 72 year old guitar with little wear. The LG series were introduced in 1942, including the LG-2. Our LG-2 is a Parlor-sized guitar with Mahogany back & sides, a Spruce top (X-braced) and Rosewood fretboard. This is the first year of the modern Gibson logo. The tuners have been upgraded, while everything else is original to this fine piece. After all these years under the bed, this LG-2 emerges with that infamous warm, rich Gibby tone. There's some gorgeous checking on this thing too. Another fine find from Guitars West.
