Gibson / LG3 / 1949 / Natural Finish / Guitar

This wonderful & very early example of this 1949 Gibson LG3 is in quite immaculate shape. Its grainy Spruce Top shows off its original Blonde finish having an almost minty appearance w/a light mahogany stained back & sides. Its 1 piece mahogany neck is straight as an arrow w/minimal wear. Sometime in the mid-60's it had a set of double line Kluson tuners installed (w/the original single line Klusons are in its case) as well as a new bridge as the original must have cracked. Its small tortoise'gard puts it all come together. Its ink date stamped on its neck heel inside its sound hole. Its a pre-1952 for sure but hard to date & was completed between 1948-1951. Other than its small repaired pickgard crack, its completely crack free w/only slight weather checking here & there. It's an exceptionally clean all original example ready for the pickiest player & collector. It comes w/its original edgy brown soft case.
