Gibson Les Paul 1952 Goldtop
Instrument Description:
first year [classif. exc ] This is a very early 1952 Les Paul Goldtop without binding and serial number and a bridge P-90 with diagonal fastening screws. It goes the story that this guitar was a prototype used by Les Paul and equipped with a plug from the frontside as some other of his guitars. Later, a commercial representative of Gibson used it as travel pattern and kept it for a long time. Unfortunately, this story is only covered orally and not fixed in writing. Next to the output-plate there was another plug-hole that was closed later as the fronthole. This guitar is still in perfect shape and comes with the original brown hardcase. It was equipped with the Mojo Axx tailpiece wich gives it a percet playbility with the strings leading over and not under the bridge (orig. tailpice is still in the case).

Welcome to Vintage Guitar Oldenburg here on Vintage & Rare. We are in vintage-guitar-business since 1983 and also well known as organizer of Germanys oldest and biggest vintage-guitar- show taking place annually on the first weekend of november.
In our shop we have more than 400 instruments and amps on display and they are ready for you to be checked out. If you have no chance to come to our shop we offer a delivery for most of our instruments to your home with a 8-days right to return. We also run a workshop for guitars, basses and amps. We are situated about 150 Km west from Hamburg, 100Km east from Groningen.
