1955-1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard (Conversion) - Sunburst incl. orig. brown "Cali-Girl" case
Here we have a all original 1955 Gibson Les Paul Standard who started its life as a Gold Top. Someone stripped that guitar (...not us!) and found a nearly center-seemed nicely figured maple top under the once golden finish. The guitar has been professionally refinished in a real nice and authentic looking Sunburst finish and the P-90 cavitys have been routed to fit a pair of real 1959 PAFs with its original nickel-covers. Other than that, the guitar is all original and compared to other conversions, no neck-reset or "re-top" needed to be done, all original 50s wood! The original serial-number still remains under the refin and all the hardware is original from 1955 and in near mint condition, ..even the original set of frets are almost like new! Since the PAFs have been soldered under its covers, all solderpoints and electronic components in the electronic cavity are untouched! This is as close as you can get to a real Burst without spending a 6-digit number. How does it sound? ...one of our best Bursts so far !
