2013 has been one of the most relevant years in the history of the Gibson Custom Shop. The series of changes applied in all '13 Historics have made them the most precise reissues ever made by the company.
We're talking about a one-piece fretboard, no-sleeve truss rod, aniline dye, hide glue neck set, improved binding color (more vintage looking), new Kluson tuners, stock Custom Buckers and real celluloid inlays. What a year!
Exceptional AAAAA top, very tridimensional. Incredibly light (8lbs 4.9oz) and very well balanced, with huge sustain. As we've said for all other 2013 Gibsons we previously had, the volume & tone controls respond to every little variation, giving you a huge tonal range. Notes are crystal-clear, without that dark feel from many other pre-2013 R9's.
Incredible condition, no fret wear, practically like-new. It only has one small ding on the edge of the selector backplate (see pictures), that's it. It even smells like fresh out of the store. No mods, no repairs, all stock.
It has no pickguard installed (NO holes either), something Gibson saves for the best tops only. Sunset Tea Burst color, a beautiful variation of the classic Iced Tea. A great guitar from a great year, now's your chance, folks!

This is why Guitar Giraffe was born, the first physical and online second hand guitar and amp store (we like to call it "pre-owned", since we see a big difference between both terms), with a clear commitment of giving new options to guitarists locally and worldwide. Pre-owned guitar stores, so common in UK and USA, were practically nonexistent in Spain.
