Up for sale is an extremely light (8lbs 3.2oz) Gibson Les Paul 1960 Reissue in a lovely Iced Tea finish!
In crazy clean condition, this beauty will make you love Gibson if you don’t already. 2014’s are one of the most respected runs by all reissue owners out there. For starters, resonance is a common denominator in all of them.
The color is one of the most elegant Iced Tea bursts we’ve ever seen, see for yourself in the pictures. No tomato soup in this one. The sunburst tones vary nicely depending on the light. The top is very beautiful, subtle from some angles and definitely gorgeous from others. Ok, not a monster top, but sometimes elegance goes with discretion, as this is clearly the case. Judge for yourselves just how lovely it is!
The guitar is a featherweight (3722gr / 8lbs 3.2oz) wonderfully resonant piece of mahogany. It has a V2 ’60 style neck (that is the medium-thin type, but not the super slim one).
The guitar is definitely NOT a dark LP, but rather a twangy/trebbly example of a very balanced humbucker solidbody guitar. Thin details do not get lost in darkness, and every note is clearly identifiable. Quite unusual features, most LP’s have a muddy kind of feel (at least in the neck pickup), but this one doesn’t. If you’re looking for a dark Les Paul, this one is not it.
Condition is very close to mint, some wear is evident but VERY hard to spot. ZERO fretwear. Includes original brown lifton case, COA, and all case candy. Yes, we forgot to take a picture of those, but it’s all there.
