1970 Gibson Les Paul - Goldtop / Humbucker Conversion incl. orig. Gibson hardshell case

Super cool 1970 Gibson Les Paul - Goldtop, mostly original except for an early humbucker conversion. According to the previous owner, this conversion has allready been done in the 70s. Befor the launch of the Les Paul Standard in 1974, the Custom was the only LP-model equiped with humbuckers, Goldtop Les Pauls where only available with mini-humbuckers. The pickups used are Gibson Burstbucker 1+3 humbuckers, which sound great in that guitar! The rest of the electronic remained untouched with 4 pots dated 137.70.10 and two original "black-beauty" capacitors, the stoptail- and the ABR-1 bridge have been upgraded to Tone-pro parts. The original Kluson "doublering"-tuners are still in charge and stay in tune fine, never had any replacement tuners! The neck is unusal chunky, comparable to a 58 profil, but with great playability. The frets have been professionally renewed, adjusted for low action. The guitar is rather on the light side for a 70s Paul, weighing in at only 4,19Kg. The tone of this Goldtop is amazing, lots of sustain, warm, transparent and open, closer to an older Les Paul than any Custom Shop guitar. Comes in its original black hardshell case with purple interior.
