This is a very special & perhaps the very best Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary completed in 1979. These 25/50 were a celebratory Les Paul honoring Gibson’s heritage from its earliest days. Most examples were either finished in a Natural, a Dark Sunburst or in a solid Dark Red. This was ordered in a stunning Tobacco Sunburst w/a fabulous Flamey Maple Top w/a walnut finished back, sides & neck. Its got the usual mix of chrome & gold parts & beautiful inlaid bound ebony fingerboard. What is also evident on this special LP is loaded w/a set of HB pickups w/its factory “Tap” switch that all of these 25/50’s had next to its volume & tone knobs. Other std. items include its Smaller tuners, its tun-a-matic & its TP-6 stop tailpiece. Its original pots are date coded to 1979. Overall she’s New Old Stock w/plastic still on its original pickgard. How often can you say you got a new guitar from 1979…now you can. She comes in her original Black molded hard case.
