Gibson / Les Paul 40th Anniversary / 1999 / Sunburst / Guitar For Sale
Released to mark the 40th anniversary of the classic burst year, These were at the time, Gibson’s closest reproduction of the fabled single cut guitar featuring thinner binding, more accurate perimeter shape, better top dish carving, improved knob placement finish and more accurate headstock shape. The first 50 were finished by Tom Murphy and the guitars came with a plethora of extras including a copy of the Beauty of the Burst book.
The guitar itself is in fantastic condition having been very well cared for. The top is a stunning piece of book matched flamed maple.
The neck is in great condition with no real wear which can also be said of the fretboard and frets.
Hardware has been aged and is in good condition as are the plastics.
Electrically everything looks correct and undisturbed.
The guitar comes with its Gibson Custom Shop hard-shell case and all the case candy plus documentation you see in the pics,
It's a joy to play with a sublime ‘59 profile neck and the ‘57 classic PAF pickups delivering those wonderful PAF-like tones.
