Gibson Les Paul Showcase Pro edition, in near mint condition, 1956-Style Les Paul Pro Goldtop pre-historic custom shop. The Showcase Edition Guitars were released back in 1988, 9 models in total, 20 each, but this '56 gold-top was doubled in a series of 40, yes only 40(!) That mae the total of the showcase series 200 (8 x 20, 1 x40). The series was meant for 20 dealers only, and each of them got 1 of each model only, and 2 goldtop '56 also named 'Les Paul Pro'. This 1956 Goldtop, actually all the goldtop in this small series of reissue was signed by 'Les Paul' himself on the pickguard. The guitar features a solid one piece Mahogany body, Maple top, Gold finish, P90 pickups, mahogany neck, 50's style Headstock, ebony fretboard with trapezoid pearloid inlays, Stop-tail and Nashville style bridge, weighs in at 4.4kg and plays like a dream, Gibson brown-LP-case and Certificate of authenticity are included. Condition check, well, it's hard to say if this guitar is ever played, but i don't think it is. It's shining new, no wear to the frets, if you look very closely you find on tiny ding to the back, but that is all there is to mention. This guitar is of a rare collectible quality and you probably won't find a cleaner 25 year old Les Paul anywhere on the planet.
