Here's a lovely little original 1956 Gibson Les Paul Custom that has a couple of issues that help keep the price well below 20k...
It has suffered an all too common headstock repair which is rock solid and only visible under black light. In addition to this, the switch tip is a very good repro (in that, at least the colour is right), the truss rod cover has been replaced as well as the jack plate.
Aside from that, it is original including the rest of the hardware, the frets, all the electrics, pickups etc and all the finish apart from where the headstock repair was blown over and a few, small localised places of wear that were touched up years ago, like the small patch you can see between the pickups.
It is a joyous weight for a Les Paul at just 3.85Kg and the solid mahogany body rings with ethereal resonance. Both pickups are nice and strong, they have never been rewound and will sing until your heard comes home.
A very nice original hard case is included which is the large grained pebble black exterior and yellow interior.
It has a very fast low action and is a real joy to play and to zip up and down the fingerboard. The fretless wonder frets are in excellent shape and despite what some people say are perfectly workable.
It is a real nice guitar at a good price. It has all the vintage vibe you could hope for and some nice natural checking, especially on the top. There are small dings and dongs here and there and some wear but overall, it is as COOL as anything we have in our stock...
