This is one of those Les Paul Custom’s that all of you guys hated back then but will luv to have this rare bird today. Its a 2nd year produced Reissue made post-1960 when the original series stopped being made. It’s just in from an original family member who owned it from new & is absolutely the finest all original example we’ve had in 30 years in biz. Its original Black finish is in outstanding shape other than having 2 chips on its face. Its headstock sports its original serial # quite legibly. Its a very rare example w/an original white bound/block inlaid Ebony fingerboard on a 3 piece Mahogany neck w/no volute or made in the USA stamp w/a nice 1 piece body. Its loaded w/a pair of factory pat.# stamped Humbuckers. She’s also still sporting her original multi layered Black pickgard. She has her original pots dated from the 2nd week of 1969. Its all gold hardware is quite faded a bit as expected. It’s still sporting its original Kluson “Ribbed Back” tuners. This is a great guitar for that guy that wants to enjoy it for the next 50 years ! She’s 9 lbs. w/killer sustain & tone qualities. What a package for any serious collector. She’s 100% original & comes in its very rare original Black Tolex /Yellow lined hard case.
